Having
issue with Arlo Camera? Is it offline? Read the given solution and follow it.
If any
of your Arlo cameras is offline, follow the given troubleshooting steps:
1. If your Arlo camera is
offline after you switched to a new router or you made changes to your Internet
network, then simply press and release the Sync button on the Arlo Smart Hub or Arlo base station.
The Internet LED blinks
for 10 seconds. Then Arlo camera resumes normal operation.
2.
Next, open and close your camera battery door and notice the camera
LED behavior the moment door is closed:
·
If the LED does not light. Check to make sure that the batteries are
installed in the right way. Then also check to make sure the batteries are not
completely dead.
·
If the LED blinks blue rapidly. Camera has synced to a base station.
·
If the LED blinks blue once. Re-sync the camera to the base station.
·
If the LED blinks amber. Then, replace the batteries.
3.
After that, check the camera connectivity:
·
Note down the distance between the camera and the base station. As
you can place your Arlo camera a maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the base
station. If your camera is farther away from the base station, it might be
connecting and disconnecting because of the distance from the base station.
·
Note down the number of walls between the camera and the base
station. Your camera might go offline only if metal objects or thick walls and
ceilings exist between the camera and the base station.
·
Are you having an access point or other WiFi device close to the
base station? If so, your Arlo system might be experiencing WiFi congestion. If
it’s possible, then do move the base station away from other WiFi devices.

4.
Now, check your Arlo Smart Hub or base station status:
·
If the Internet LED on your base station is showing solid green,
then Arlo Base station is connected to the Internet.
·
If the LED is amber, then the base station is not connected to
the Internet. Do verify that the Ethernet cable is connected to a LAN
connection.
5.
Do ensure that your camera is synced to the base station:
·
You can check your Arlo library for the last recording for that
camera. If the latest video for that camera was recorded a long time ago, the
camera might not be synced to the base station.
·
Later, open and close the camera battery door. If the LED blinks
blue color once and it does not rapidly blink blue later, then you must re-sync
your camera.
