The Most Important Thing You Need To Know About Arlo Camera Offline
Is your Arlo camera offline? Yes? Then, how can you troubleshoot it? Well for that you have
landed on a right page. The following article is for that only.
- If camera is offline after you switched to a
new router or made changes to your Internet network, press and
release the Sync button
on the Arlo Smart Hub or Arlo base station. Internet LED blinks for 10
seconds, and then your Arlo camera resumes normal operation.
- Then, open and close your camera battery door
and notice the camera LED behavior when the door is closed:
·
LED does
not light. Check to make sure the batteries
are installed in the correct orientation. Check to make sure the batteries are
not completely dead.
·
LED blinks
blue rapidly. Then camera has synced to a
base station.
·
LED blinks
blue once. Re-sync the camera to the base
station.
·
LED blinks
amber. Then, replace the batteries.
- Next, check the camera connectivity:
· Do note the
distance between the camera and the base station. You can simply place your
Arlo camera a maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the base station. If camera
is farther away from the base station, it might be connecting and disconnecting
because of the distance from the base station.
· Then, note
the number of walls between the camera and the base station. Camera might go
offline if metal objects or thick walls and ceilings exist between the camera
and the base station.
· If you have
an access point or other Wi-Fi device close to the base station then, your Arlo
system might be experiencing Wi-Fi congestion. Do move the base station away
from other Wi-Fi devices.
- Further, check your Arlo Smart Hub or base
station status:
·
If Internet
LED on your base station is solid green, the Arlo Base station is connected to the
Internet.
·
If LED is
amber, the base station is not connected to the Internet. Do verify that the
Ethernet cable is connected to a LAN connection.
- Do ensure that your camera is synced to the
base station:
·
Check your
Arlo library for the last recording for that camera.
·
Open and
close the camera battery door. If the LED blinks blue once and it does not
rapidly blink blue later, then you must re-sync your camera.
